Crystal Terrarium Workshop

Create a terrarium to cleanse and house your crystals.

Salt can be used to cleanse and purify energy. Setting your crystals on a bed of salt lets any built up negative energy dissipate, restoring them to their original state. Skye, the creator of Terrariums by Finley, will be in to help us make our own crystal charging terrariums.

All materials will be provided.

However, you are encouraged to bring any crystals, herbs, or other small items you’d like to incorporate into your terrarium—make it unique to you!

Why use pink or black himalayan salt?

Himalayan salt originates from marine fossil deposits, making this a calming crystal that encapsulates the energy of the sun and the sea. Pink himalayan salt is the kind you would see in man-made salt caves. This (edible) crystal is favored for its mood-boosting properties as well as cleansing abilities. Black himalayan salt, on the other hand, is most commonly used in protection magic. To keep yourself centered and add a layer of negativity protection, this salt would also make a good base for crystal charging terrariums.

IMPORTANT: make sure your crystals can safely interact with salt before placing them inside for a prolonged amount of time

As a general rule of thumb, hard crystals such as quartz and agate are safe to put in dry salt while soft and/or water-soluble crystals are not.
